The season of Classic and Legendary
sailboats in Méditerranean sea
An immersive photographic exhibition by Jehan Lérin

The season of Classic and Legendary Sailboats is a timeless invitation to journey through maritime history and the world of yacht racing.
These historic and cultural treasures — true boats of legend — are presented here in an immersive exhibition, with photographs taken during the French regatta circuit in the Mediterranean.
Built for competition, these exceptional sailboats — constructed since the 1850s — trace their origins to a movement officially launched in 1857: the America’s Cup.
Masterpieces in their own right, these boats have lived many lives and followed diverse destinies. Most bear feminine names — The Lady Ann, Viola — both designed by Scottish architect William Fife between 1908 and 1912.
Fragile and precious, these "old ladies" require constant care. Damaged, sometimes forgotten, they have often been lost, then rediscovered, restored, and lovingly revived by passionate hands: sailors, owners, shipwrights, architects, and naval yards united by a love of wood and the sea.
In this photographic and sound immersion, let yourself be carried by the unique atmosphere of the regatta. Feel the wind in your hair, breathe in the salty sea air, and marvel at the grace of these classic sailboats as they dance across the waves.
This exhibitions is part of "Culture Marine" project.
