Photo 01 - Organized disorder

Photo 01 - Organized disorder

Thamel is a neighbourhood with two faces — both residential and touristic. In this maze of narrow alleys, restaurants stand alongside trekking agencies, and souvenir stalls overflow with Tibetan singing bowls, incense, and postcards promising adventure.

The red-brick facades, covered with advertising signs, frame intersections where poles are weighed down by a tangled web of electric and internet cables — a perfectly organized mess.
