Use and Protection of Photographs (pictures)
Photographs (pictures), as original creations of the author, remain the author’s exclusive property (patrimonial rights), even in the case of a rights transfer.
This reminder concerns the use of my photographs, my works, and the resources required for their production.
My work is my source of income. It is the result of:
years of learning and accumulated experience,
administrative, legal, and fiscal organization,
human qualities that foster healthy professional and personal relationships,
artistic sensitivity and high production standards,
thorough preparatory research carried out before each assignment,
significant investment in equipment — high-performance, costly tools selected for their technical, technological, and creative qualities,
the resources required for production as well as communication and marketing skills.
With each shot, I capture a unique moment on film or digital sensor. But the final photograph is never the product of chance: it results from technical choices, creative intention, my artistic sensibility, and my experience. Knowing my subject, I anticipate and release the shutter at the decisive moment, taking into account working conditions and weather. This process continues with the careful selection of images and their post-processing, which together give rise to the final work (digital file, classic print, or Fine Art print).
No raw (RAW) files are ever transmitted or assigned, as these files are an integral part of my author’s patrimony. Only finalized JPEG files are delivered. Post-processing, which is an essential part of my creative process, reflects my visual signature and personal style.
Copying a photograph (for example via a screenshot) and using it without my authorization on any medium, including social media (Instagram, Facebook, websites, etc.), constitutes counterfeiting and therefore an infringement of the Intellectual Property Code.
Only uses expressly defined by a transfer of rights or by my written authorization are permitted (personal/private use, communication, commercial distribution, etc.).
A collaboration on Instagram/Facebook/Meta or any other platform can be beneficial to both parties.
Such collaboration constitutes authorization for limited sharing on that platform only, without any transfer of rights to third parties or permission for commercial use, unless explicitly agreed. Re-sharing a story I have created is accepted provided it respects the integrity of the content, remains for communication purposes (not for commercial use, unless agreed), and always includes credit to the author.
In summary, photographs (images) are original works of the author, protected by copyright ©, and cannot be used:
